Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts-Las Vegas commemorated Veterans Day by hosting a Red, White, and Bleu One Bite Competition sponsored by the LCB-LV Veterans Club. The competition was open to all Le Cordon Bleu students and each competitor presented “one bite” sweet or savory creations from their own original recipes. Cadie Andrew, Manager of VA Fisher House-Las Vegas and Nevada Veterans of Foreign Wars Commander Donna Barnett, Veterans of Foreign Wars, awarded the grand prize award to student Kari Woodall. LCB-Vets is co-sponspored by the Karen J. Wagner Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12119. Ms. Woodall waspresented with flag afghan #187 created by Dorothy Lenihan who creates these works of art in memory of September 11th. She was also presented with the gold challenge coin of Commander Barnett. Students and staff also enjoyed a delicious cake created by Chef Instructor Damien Bagley.
