LAS VEGAS – Rebuilding Together Southern Nevada (RTSNV) and The Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP) will host their first-ever housing summit for veterans on Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the third floor of the Innevation Center, 6795 S. Edmond St.
Services provided at the housing summit will include free home loan pre-approval, financial counseling, breakfast, and raffle prizes, plus information on the Veterans Affairs (VA) loan and down payment assistance. Also attending the event are distinguished guests Congressman Cresent Hardy, economist Richard Lee, and motivational speaker Daniel “Rudy” Ruettiger.
VAREP is a national organization founded in 2011 with the mission of educating veterans on their benefits, providing financial literacy education, assisting with the home ownership process and improving the overall quality of life for veterans.
RTSNV has also announced its newest board member, Billy Alt, the President of the Las Vegas Chapter of VAREP and Team Leader of the Alt Group at Wynn Realty Group. Alt, a veteran of the Marine Corps, has more than 11 years of experience in real estate and was named one of the top 50 real estate professionals in Nevada for 2014. He is also a military relocation professional and belongs to Heroes Home Advantage (HHA), a network of professionals offering discounts on services and commission rebates to heroes in the military and other civil service fields.
Veterans interested in attending the housing summit must bring their tax returns from the past three years, W-2 forms from the past two years, pay stubs from the previous month, bank statements from the past two months, a recent 401k statement, photo identification, and a copy of their DD Form 214.
