NATHAN ADELSON HOSPICE HOSTS ‘THE RAINBOW BRIDGE - PET LOSS SUPPORT GROUPS’

(Las Vegas) – In another effort to help community members, Nathan Adelson Hospice will begin hosting support groups for grieving pet owners.

“The Rainbow Bridge – Pet Loss Support Groups” will begin meeting on Dec. 3, 2015, and will be held the first Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The groups will meet inside the Swenson Inpatient Unit Conference Room at 4141 Swenson St., Las Vegas. The new support groups are part of the hospice’s Pet Peace of Mind program.

“The death of a pet can be devastating for many individuals, and there currently are no support programs in the community to help those who are grieving,” said Jennifer Mauceri, volunteer program manager for Nathan Adelson Hospice. “Our goal will be to give people tools to use in their own lives to help them address grief and the stigmatism that comes along with losing a dear family pet.”

Those wishing to attend should call or email Jennifer Mauceri at 702-796-3185 or jmauceri@nah.org to reserve a spot no later than the Tuesday prior to the meeting.
