Veterans Day After Parade Family BBQ
Guest Speaker Congressman Cresent Hardy will be addressing the Veterans and proud supporters at the Forgotten Not Gone Healing and Wellness Center Family barbecue.
LAS VEGAS - Nov. 5, 2015 -- This Veterans Day, November 11th, 2015, will be a day for honoring the brave men and women who served our country, who fought for our freedom and the freedom of those who couldn't fight.
In order to raise the much needed funds to continue their mission of combating the 22 Daily veteran suicides, Forgotten Not Gone will be hosting a Veterans Day Family BBQ Celebration. The money raised will be used to fund the new Forgotten Not Gone Healing and Wellness Center as well as purchase the required tools needed to maintain and service our fleet of recumbent tricycles that assist veterans in escaping isolation.
The benefit will be held at the N. Las Vegas location at 3355 Clayton Street #15, 89032,
from 2 to 6 p.m. There will be food, drinks, petting zoo, giant slide, carnival games, live music and much more. The goal is to serve 222 veterans, active duty soldiers, family members and proud supporters an afternoon of entertainment and food. The general public is strongly encouraged to attend – local support is vital to the success of the Forgotten Not Gone mission.
Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP as soon as possible at: http://www.ForgottenNotGone.org/Veterans-Day-2015/ or to text “22Vets” to 50555 on their mobile device to receive more information on the event and Forgotten Not Gone.
Forgotten Not Gone, a 501 (c)(3) For Purpose organization, is dedicated to helping save veterans and their families from the destruction of suicide. Through emotional, physical and spiritual activities sponsored by the organization, veterans are encouraged to reengage with society and be brought out of the isolation that many experience once they return home.
